Kumar and the team at Kismet aim to elevate the concept of Indian cuisine. Chef Kumar has been recognized with the Michelin Bib Gourmand designation two years in a row for his cooking at Kismet’s sister restaurant in downtown Washington, D.C. – Karma Modern Indian.
Food is the focus but so is guest experience. When you arrive at Kismet Modern Indian, you will be greeted with a friendly smile by welcoming staff who will treat you like family. A neighborhood restaurant, Kismet offers comfortable seating in an atmosphere that is both chic and inviting.
Kismet ALX offers bar service with expertly mixed cocktails, a wine list curated specifically to complement the cuisine, and a full line-up of domestic and imported beers.
Kismet ALX is in Alexandria’s Old Town neighborhood at 111 N. Pitt Street – just off King Street. The restaurant is open for dinner Wednesday through Sunday and offers lunch service Wednesday through Sunday.
